Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

As a key element of our 21st century learning environments, our students at Liwara are introduced to using electronic devices as an effective teaching and learning tool, from Kindergarten onwards. When the students enter Year Four, they become participants in the compulsory Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. At Liwara, the BYOD approach means that we implement a policy of relying on student-owned technology, while providing the necessary support and infrastructure.

As the Digital Technologies Curriculum and the Design and Technologies Curriculum are now mandatory as part of the Western Australian Curriculum, it is important for our students to bring in a device which is explicitly authorised by the school as part of their back to school supplies.
