Prayer to Strengthen my Faith
Heavenly Father, strengthen my faith every day.
When doubts arise, remind me of Your unchanging love and promises.
Help me cling to Your Word and trust in Your divine timing.
Teach me to surrender my fears, worries, and uncertainties, knowing that You are my guide and protector.
May my faith grow firm like a tree planted by water, unshaken by the storms of life.
Lord, let my heart always seek You and my soul rest in Your truth.
Amen

FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Liwara Families,
As we approach the end of the school year, there’s a lot to be thankful for and happening in our vibrant community!
ANNUAL SCHOOL FAIR - A Night to Remember – Thank You!
A huge thank you to our hardworking Parents & Friends Group for coordinating our Annual School Fair – what an incredible night! It was a gigantic success, filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit. Thank you to all our Liwara families, friends and neighbours who supported the event by volunteering their time and getting involved in so many ways. Your generosity and enthusiasm made it truly unforgettable.
KINDERGARTEN STEM SKILLS PROJECT
Throughout 2025, ten selected Kindergarten educators, including our Kindy Green teacher, Mrs Elena Capolingua, participated in a series of professional learning opportunities, including four in-person sessions, three online check-ins and a culminating showcase event. Educators were supported with mentoring and resources to implement and evaluate STEM learning experiences within their classrooms. They also documented and shared their journey through various formats, contributing to a collaborative learning community.
As a result of their participation, educators deepened their understanding of effective STEM pedagogy an strengthened their confidence in delivering high-quality STEM learning experiences.
At the conclusion of the project, each participant submitted a snapshot highlighting one STEM experience implemented during the year. How lucky we are to have our Kindy students involved in the STEM project.

It’s a celebration not to be missed!
LIWARA SCHOOL SONG COMES TO LIFE WITH OUR 2025 CHOIR RECORDING
We are thrilled to share some exciting news about our School History from our Music Department — the Liwara School Song, originally composed in 1974 by two Mercy nuns, Sister Mary Eunan and Sister Paula is being brought to life once again by our talented 2025 school choir!
This cherished piece of our school’s history is being reimagined with the help of renowned musician Keith McDonald, who has created a beautiful backing track to accompany our students’ voices with the support of Miss Mandry who has been working closely with the choir. Keith has also generously organised for the choir to record the song in a professional recording studio located not far from our school. They have also been involved in a video that was shot in the church today and from all accounts it went very smoothly.
This project has been a labour of love and a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with the rich heritage of Liwara Catholic Primary School. The recording will be a lasting tribute to the Mercy Sisters’ legacy and a proud accomplishment for our 2025 choir.
We look forward to sharing the final product with our school community soon — stay tuned for more updates!
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school.

PARISH YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS
TUESDAY 28TH OCTOBER
Last week at 24:7 Greenwood, we had an awesome night filled with energy, games, and fun. The evening began with some relaxed card and board games before we moved into our first group activity, Spoons, which brought out plenty of friendly competition and laughter. We then played Spotlight, keeping everyone on their toes, and finished the night with an exciting game of soccer. It was a fantastic evening of friendship, teamwork, and joy.
NEXT YOUTH GROUP
Our next 24:7 Greenwood Youth Group will be held next week, and it’s set to be a special one — our MasterChef Night! The youth will have the chance to get creative and make their own food creations, testing their teamwork and imagination in the kitchen. We’re also excited to welcome the Youth Mission Team, with one of their members sharing a personal faith testimony. It’s going to be an inspiring and enjoyable night of faith, fun, and fellowship.
God bless,
Jesse and Lucy
