BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE

As part of our commitment to fostering 21st-century learning environments, students at Liwara Catholic Primary School are introduced to digital technologies as effective tools for teaching and learning from Kindergarten onwards. Upon entering Year 4, students transition into our compulsory Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. This initiative reflects our policy of integrating student-owned devices into the classroom, supported by the necessary infrastructure and guidance to ensure meaningful and responsible use.

ICT capability is a key component of the Western Australian Curriculum and is embedded across all learning areas from Pre-primary to Year 10. It is integrated into subject content and identified in curriculum documents where it enhances learning. Teachers are explicitly teaching ICT skills where appropriate and embedding them in meaningful learning contexts.
