From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents and Caregivers

I doubt any of us predicted the term would be ending quite the way it has! With the changes to our end of term Pupil Free Days due to the recent COVID lockdown, our term will officially end this Friday 2 July for staff and students. Term Three will commence for students and staff on Monday 19 July.

Due to our End of Term Mass having to be cancelled last Tuesday 29 June, we will now be presenting the Respect Values awards and medals to the students at our Term Three Opening Mass at 11.15am on Friday 23 July.  All  parents of students receiving the Values award will be informed of the re-scheduled Mass by classroom teachers.

Thank you for your ongoing patience, support and cooperation with our COVID-19 School Continuation plans.  The current situation continues to evolve, necessitating us all to remain vigilant, calm and agile in our responses.  I will continue to provide you with information even during the holidays, as necessary.

Make sure you keep Saturday 14 August free and book a table for the P&F Bingo Night. Come along and have some fun and support our dedicated P&F Committee!

We are currently conducting enrolment interviews for our 2022 Kindy and Pre Kindy classes.  Spots are filling steadily so if you know of friends or neighbours who are looking for a school for their children with a welcoming and nurturing community, please pass on our school details or stop by the office and ask Karen or Anthea to give you an Information and Enrolment Package to pass on to them.

I wish you all a restful and refreshing holiday period and look forward to welcoming our community back in the new term.  Stay safe and well everyone!

Wishing you God’s blessings

Andrea Millar

SPORTS SECTION

Interschool Cross Country

Congratulations must go to all those who were selected for and competed in the Interschool Cross Country carnival last Friday 25th June. Liwara CPS competed against 11 other schools in A Division.

Without exception, Liwara students put their heart and soul into their event in an effort to proudly represent the school.  It was also great to see so many parents come to watch and support the children.

Well done and thank you to all participants.
