FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear Parents and Caregivers

As we approach the end of another incredible year, I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support, collaboration, and dedication to our school educational journey.  It has been an honour and privilege to partner with you in nurturing, guiding and empowering our students to reach new heights.

This year has been a testament to the strength of our community.  Despite the busyness of life and some challenges we faced, your resilience and commitment have been truly inspiring.  Together we have created a nurturing environment where our students have thrived, learned, and grown not only academically but also personally.

Our achievements this year, both big and small, are a reflection of the collective efforts and passion we all share for the success and well-being of our children.  From the exciting activities and milestones achieved in the classroom to the support and encouragement shown in various school events, your involvement has made a significant difference.

I would like to bid a fond farewell to the Year 6 families who are leaving us this year.  Your unwavering support, guidance and active participation have been instrumental in shaping not only your child’s journey but also the collective experiences of our school community.  Your dedication to their education and well-being has been invaluable, and we are grateful for the trust you’ve placed in us.

As we journey towards the 2024 school year, let us continue to foster a supportive and enriching environment for our students.  Let’s encourage curiosity, celebrate diversity, and promote kindness, laying the foundation for their future successes.

I encourage you to take this opportunity to rest, rejuvenate and create lasting memories with your loved ones during the holiday season.  May it be a time filled with joy, peace, and cherished moments.

Thank you once again for entrusting us with the privilege of educating and guiding your children.  Your partnership remains invaluable, and I eagerly look forward to the accomplishments and adventures that the new year will bring for our school community.  Warmest wishes for a joyful holiday season and a fantastic year ahead!

I have attached the 2024 class teacher list below for your information.  It is important to keep in mind that this list can be subject to change before the beginning of the school year, in the event of any unexpected staff movements.

2024 MEDICAL ACTION PLANS

Your updated 2024 Medical Action Plans are now due.  The school requires a copy of the plan prior to your child commencing in 2024.   So that we can have the information available for teachers prior to Week 1. We ask that you forward your new plans to the office by Monday, 22 January 2024.  We are required to have a new plan every 12 months.

There are the standard plans for Anaphylaxis, Asthma, Allergies etc.  If your child does not fall into one of these categories you can download a copy of the schools Medical Action Plan from our website.  All plans need to be signed off by your doctor.

If you child requires medication to be taken at school, this includes - Asthma Puffers, ADHD medication, etc which is prescribed by your doctor it needs to be given to the front office in the original packaging which shows the child's name, doctor's name & the dosage.

Medications that are not prescription medicines, require parents to complete a Medication Authority Form which is available from the front office.

PARISH YOUTH MINISTRY NEWS

NEXT YOUTH GROUP

Last week at 24:7 Greenwood we had a great night of games, music and fun. We also had the Liwara School Fair on Friday where, as a youth group, we ran a carnival games stall. We started our night with a game of Octopus before moving onto our second game for the night which was Spoons. To finish off our night, we had some time of prayer using a few different bible passages to help us enter into the time of reflection.

NON-YOUTH GROUP ACTIVITIES

The Youth Group helped out at the Liwara School Fair on Friday November 10th by running the kiddie carnival stall

NEXT YOUTH GROUP

This week's youth group will be a night to test us all and keep us on our toes as we have our end of year quiz night.

God bless,
